Continental was founded in 1871 as a rubber manufacturing company and ranks fourth currently with headquarters in Hanover, Germany. Continental entered the American industry during 1987 head quartered in Lancaster County, South Carolina. Since Feb 25, 2009, Continental made available the patented Flexlock technology.
